First Financial Intermediaries was founded in 1997 by father-son team Michael and James Caplan. Case study by Director, Simon Ryder
Our clients approached us as their existing mortgage was coming to the end of term. They owed their existing lender £2.5M against a property valued in excess of £5M.
The clients were only able to demonstrate an income of £250,000 they did however have a portfolio of investments valued over £2,000,000 held with a private bank.
Using a small private bank we were able to monetise the value of the investment portfolio using the clients High Net Worth status, this enabled the new bank to lend the required sum on an interest only basis. There was no requirement for an of the investments to be moved to the new bank, which meant the clients could continue their existing investment relationship.
