Paradigm Protect was launched in 2014, aiming to offer a comprehensive Protection & General Insurance (GI) proposition to directly authorised firms. We wanted to support our existing member firms who were active in this space, those who wanted to start writing insurance business, and to grow our reach in the wider intermediary market. In a relatively short time, we are proud to have achieved this and now stand out from the crowd in terms of the level of support that we offer to firms. In December 2023, we were proud to be recognised as ‘Best Protection Network/Club’ at the Protection Review Awards.
The aim of Paradigm Protect has always been to make the process of arranging protection for your clients as efficient as possible whilst not restricting your choice, and to ensure no customer detriment in the process. We have now established ourselves as a major distributor of Protection products in the UK market, with over 900 firms now benefitting from our superior proposition and commercial terms. Our goal is to continue to help educate, innovate and motivate you in the this increasingly important marketplace.
The market-leading terms we have negotiated have no loaded premiums, meaning that customers receive the best rates available and do not pay more for their life protection simply in order for the adviser to earn more. There are no registration or membership fees, just a wide range of readily accessible Providers, products and support which will ultimately facilitate the best outcome for you, your staff and your customers.
In addition to market-leading commercials, Paradigm Protect also offers the very best overall levels of support to firms. This ranges from access to innovative quotation technology, marketing support and access to product material via our website, and more! We have access to both the Exchange and iPipeline (Assureweb and SolutionBuilder) the latter two being free of charge to Paradigm Protect members. By offering fully subsidised SolutionBuilder licences, you can save over £180 per month per licence. We also have free access to UnderwriteMe and a discounted rate for ProtectionGuru Pro.
Unique in the market, Paradigm offer a Protection Helpdesk to help members place complex protection cases. You can find out more about this service here. We regularly run specialist protection CPD events which are specifically designed to offer you maximum value and engagement when hearing about a Provider proposition. Our team are also on hand to help your firm develop and grow your protection business, be that for individuals or companies. From a compliance perspective, our team of experts are fully equipped to meet all of your needs in this area, whether it be reviewing one single Protection file to providing a full Training and Competence scheme – and much more!
Our proposition is not limited to Individual Life products; in 2016 we moved into the Group Life space with great success. Given the developing opportunities in the auto-enrolment sector and the importance attached to IFAs in supporting SME firms, we established this new panel of Group Life providers to support Paradigm members operating in this area, or those wishing to enter it.
In addition, we’ve also secured some trusted referral partners who you can refer clients to (with a no cross-sale guarantee) if you don’t wish to write the business yourself, ultimately helping to keep your clients off comparison websites and ensuring they get quality financial advice. We all know that the risks of letting clients venture onto comparison websites are great – not only are they likely to select a cheap policy that doesn't adequately cover them, but this also opens the door to losing their business on other products given these websites now offer everything from mortgages to ISAs, Life Insurance to Landlords Insurance.
